After contacting us for an estimate in January of 2009, we worked with the board for 9 months until the projects came to fruition. With 18 condos and 18 commercial units, Mountain Heights was a sizeable job, however, our efficiency and ability to adapt made the job go smoothly. While other contractors were set on scaffolding the front of the building, our ability to use a lift to access difficult areas both helped the job come in on time, under budget, and without disrupting the business’s and homeowners that were trying to operate inside. In addition to a full exterior repaint, we also did significant shingle replacement on the front of the building, fixing broken and warped shingles so that the finished product was as clean as possible. Exterior House Painting in Oakland, CA
As one of the premier painting contractors in Oakland, CA, we specialize in older houses with a lot of character. While these homes are beautiful, they do require a good amount of maintenance. Painting is the best way to assure that your home is waterproofed and that the wood is protected year round. On this particular home we sealed all cracks with a high grade elastomeric sealant to make sure the wood and stucco surfaces were well protected from the upcoming winter rains. We then used an elastomeric paint on all stucco surfaces and KM 1250 (an exterior semi-gloss) on all the trim. We ended up painting seven other homes in the neighborhood because they were so happy with the work we did.

Lakeshore – Piedmont CA Exterior Paint Job – Oakland Area
In case you haven’t noticed we have painted numerous homes in the Lakeshore/Piedmont areas of Oakland. This exterior painting project required a lot of prep work. Like most of our jobs we began by pressure washing the interior house and treating all mildew areas with a project call Bio-Kleen. This product is a replacement to TSP (which is what most painting companies uses), because it actually suffocates the mildew preventing it from coming back. It is also 100% biodegradable and safe for kids and animals. After that we waterproofed the entire house with high grade sealants and filled all cracks in the stucco with an elastomeric sealant. We scraped and sanded wherever there was loose or filling paint, primed the appropriate areas, then applied two coats of elastomeric paint to all stucco areas and KM 1250 to all wood areas. Berkeley CA Painting Job- 799 Mandana Ave
Justin Malan, 799 Mandana Ave, Berkeley CA
Brian and I have flipped a couple houses ourselves, so when Justin called on us to help in his flip, we were excited to help. After Justin had half of the interior rooms demolished, we hung new sheetrock, mudded the seams and textured the new walls. While the interior was being worked on we also did a lot of preparation to paint the exterior, these old homes in Berkeley have a ton of character which usually means a lot of work! We helped out with color consulting and came up with some great color combination that accentuated the architecture and layout of the home. Justin put the house on the market and it sold in a few weeks, not bad for this economy!
