St. Vincent DePaul Society – Exterior Painting, Oakland, CA
Signature Painting has been working with the St. Vincent DePaul Society for the last two years, helping them modernize and brighten the buildings in which they assist the needy. Last year we did a complex repaint of the inside of their dining room, part of a modernization project that has breathed new life into the facility. This year we painted the façade of their headquarters in Downtown Oakland. The building was aged, covered in graffiti and dated colors. Using the St. Vincent DePaul signature blue color for the stucco, and Malibu beige for the brick, we applied Elastakote at their request, in order for them to be able to pressure wash the building to keep it clean. We love working with the St. Vincent DePaul Society, they do amazing work and we are proud to be a small part of their effort, beautifying the buildings where they do their great deeds. As anyone who is a part of a home owners association may well know, group decisions are difficult to make, especially when it comes to painting. After contacting us for an estimate in January of 2009, we worked with the board for 9 months until the projects came to fruition. With 18 condos and 18 commercial units, Mountain Heights was a sizeable job, however, our efficiency and ability to adapt made the job go smoothly. While other contractors were set on scaffolding the front of the building, our ability to use a lift to access difficult areas both helped the job come in on time, under budget, and without disrupting the business’s and homeowners that were trying to operate inside. In addition to a full exterior repaint, we also did significant shingle replacement on the front of the building, fixing broken and warped shingles so that the finished product was as clean as possible.
